I don’t have a lot to say today. I just want to provide a list of financial resources available to you or those you know during this time of uncertainty:
- Relief for Taxpayers Affected by Ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pandemic – The tax filing deadline has been pushed back to July 15. If you owe money on your taxes this year, then it may be a better idea to wait. If you’re due a refund, then filing ASAP is probably a good idea.
- Indy COVID Relief – A Twitter account with a goal of “…identifying up-to-date resources for the Indianapolis community during the COVID pandemic.”
- Indy Parks FREE Meals – Open to all kids 18 and under in multiple locations around Marion County.
- Pete The Planner/Hey Money Recession-Proof Your Finances in 30 Days Daily Livestream – Pete The Planner has been hosting a daily livestream on his new company’s Facebook page where he provides information on “how to recession-proof your finances in 30 days.”
- US Department of Labor Coronavirus Resources – This includes information on workplace safety, unemployment insurance, Federal workers, and news from the DOL on actions that are being taken due to the coronavirus.
- Indiana Small Business Development Center COVID-19 Resource Page – Includes information on Economic Injury Disaster Loans and other small business funding sources
- Indiana Unemployment Insurance Frequently Asked Questions for COVID-19 Work-Related Issues – Learn if you’re eligible for unemployment insurance, how to file, and the information you’ll need to do so.
- IBJ: Lilly to launch drive-thru COVID-19 testing for health care workers – “…the service will be limited for now to physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other health care professionals.”
- New York Times: Your Money: A Hub for Help During the Coronavirus Crisis – Unfortunately, you have to create an account to access this, but it does provide information on how unemployment insurance works, paid leave under the Federal coronavirus emergency package, and how to pause Federal student loans.
- Families First Coronavirus Response Act – This is primarily help for small business owners and self-employed individuals. These are easier to digest:
