Now is a time of the year that a lot of people are buying houses or at least considering it. Don’t let that become a decision that you regret.
I’m not trying to scare anyone away from buying a house. I just want you to be sure that you’re in a good position to do so.
Being house poor means that you spend a large percentage of your income on housing expenses (rent/mortgage, utilities, taxes, insurance, repairs, maintenance, etc.) and have a hard time covering other expenses and saving.
Many people see owning a home as a significant milestone in their lives, but it can become a financial burden without proper planning and considering ALL the expenses that come with a home.
