Student loan debt is growing rapidly in our country and there are really only three ways to get rid of it: pay it off, have it forgiven through a government program (you’ll owe income taxes on the amount forgiven), or die.
Historically, student loan debt has not been forgiven in bankruptcy and there isn’t any asset backing it that you can give to the lender for them to forgive the loan.
